“Melting Point. Joieria Contemporània València ” is a biannual international meeting for professionals and students of contemporary jewelry, organized since 2012 by the Department of Jewelery of the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny de València (EASD València) with several objectives: to promote contemporary jewelry as a form of innovative expression; to position this Valencian art internationally; to boost contacts between professionals, students and schools and to discuss jewelry and promote its dissemination and commercialization in Spain. “Melting Point” is presented as an alternative to the concept of trade fair and includes exhibitions, conferences, workshops, performances and activities related to contemporary jewelry and crafts, with a strong cultural, pedagogical, public and non-profit character.
