The entry of the new year brings to Valencia the countdown to the celebration of a new edition of Melting Point 2020. Joieria Contemporània València.
One of the most important artistic jewelry encounters at an international level that, every two years, the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny de València, through its Jewelry and Object department, organizes in order to approach and publicize the world of jewelry, exchange ideas, share experiences and deepen the debate about the challenges faced by the creators of the sector.
For this, the organization is working to develop an excellent program of exhibitions, workshops, conferences and activities that, this year, will take place from April 30th to May 3rd, 2020. A large program that will make Valencia the capital of contemporary jewelry and that we will be breaking down from here in the coming months.
What is certain is that this sixth edition will feature, once again, exhibitions in important spaces such as Centro del Carmen, The City Museum, El Centro de Artesanía or The National Ceramics Museum; a cycle of interesting conferences; original performances and will feature the presence of contemporary jewelers of renowned prestige, novel creators, collectors, gallery owners and the general public, in what will become a dynamic and active space where you can interact, exchange impressions, meet new works and also dialogue in a relaxed and enriching environment.
And it is that Melting Point 2020. Joieria Contemporània returns to Valencia with more desire than ever to bring to life this sixth edition and with renewed energies after having been finalist of the National Handcraft Awards in the category “Promote Public” and also knowing that Valencia will be, in 2022, the world capital of design. All a blow of effect that strengthens, more if possible, the importance, quality and excellence of Valencian design in all sectors and, in this way, that of contemporary jewelry.
